Kevin Jones - Dr. David Mortimore
It Runs In The Family, has been a very special experience
for me. It marks my debut as a scenic designer, (along with my best
friend Kris) another one of those things I dreamed about being as
a young person but had to wait until I was 53 to try! My special thanks
to Sherrie, Richard, Rick and Kelli for making this production look
so good! Enjoy the show—FOR GOD’S SAKE!

 |
Wes Jackson – Dr. Mike Connolly
Wes made his Patio debut in Cabaret. Even though he enjoyed
performing in his first musical, he is equally excited to be in this
production of It Runs In the Family. British comedies have
always been a favorite, and he is thrilled to be given the chance
to play a role as "cheeky" as this one. My character, Dr.
Mike Connolly, loves performing his pantomimes and I must say I can't
blame him. I love a good pantomime too, and this one is "brilliant".
Enjoy the show!

Debbie Britt-Hay – Rosemary Mortimore
Debbie is thrilled to be making her Patio debut! Previously she has
been seen at PowPAC in Boy Gets Girl and in House Of
Yes, for which she won the PowPAC year end award for Best Lead
Actress. She was also in the Cooney hit, Not Now, Darling
at Lamplighters as well as the leading role of Audrey Strange in Towards Zero. Debbie has been seen on TV as a guest star in
What Should You Do?and in the films Ghosts of The Abyss
directed by James Cameron, The Blue Rose with Danny Baldwin,
and Raising Helen with Kate Hudson. Debbie would like to
thank Sherrie for giving her this opportunity to play this role, her
talented cast for being so fabulous to work with, and Mark and Taylor
for their undying love and support. You are my world!
|
 |
Scott Strand – Dr. Hubert Bonney
Scott last appeared at Patio in Book Of Days after a 23 year
absence! He has appeared in numerous shows including the World
Premiere of The Labors of Hercules at The Laguna Playhouse, as
well as, West Side Story and Brigadoon at Fullerton
Civic Light Opera. His filmwork includes Tyson and Last
Man Standing. He received his BA from Cal State University Northridge
and is a member of SAG and AFTRA. Scott wishes to thank his beautiful
wife Diane and their two strapping young sons, Joshua and Jordan,
for their love and support. |
 |
Vesta Gleissner – Matron
An active member of Patio Playhouse, Vesta has created props, painted
sets, sewed costumes, served in concessions, and serves as Director
on Duty for most shows. She has stage managed several shows and appeared
in You Can’t Take It With You, and Inspecting Carol.
Vesta also designed the set and directed last seasons award winning
Chicken Every Sunday. She thanks Patio for offering such
diverse opportunities for her talents.
|
 |
Tom Pierpoint – Sir Willoughby Drake
Tom has performed in Patio Playhouse productions since 1998, yet this
is the first time he has appeared at the Grand Ave. theater. Tom grew
up in French speaking Switzerland and has been active in local community
theater since moving to So CA from Sweden (ja, for sure) in 1988.
Tom also has a passion for collecting classic Clenet automobiles (clenet.org)
but Dana is the real love of his life.
|
 |
Kelli Harless – Jane Tate
Kelli Harless is happy to be treading the boards in this delightful,
light hearted comedy. Her training ranges from a BA in Theatre Arts
to continued studies with the Old Globe, New Villages Arts, and the
most intense training: home life with the 4 sons. Most recently appearing
as Sally Bowles in "Cabaret", other shows this
year include: "Guys & Dolls" (General Cartwright);
"Much Ado About Nothing" (Ursula); and at Theatrx
"Smell of the Kill" (Nicky). Thanks to Michael
and the boys for holding down the fort while mama plays.
|
 |
Aisa Winkle – Sister
After spending 15 years as an RN at the local hospital, Aisa has decided
to let her hair down and give acting a try! |
 |
Steve Stetak –Leslie
Steve hasn't written a serious bio in years. Normally, the night before
they're due, he shows up waving a half -eaten napkin with some ridiculous
story scrawled out on it about how he was raised by pygmy elephants
in eastern Africa, or how he once shot skeet in the Ozarks with the
Dalai Lama (who's not very good, if you were at all curious). However,
in honor of his first play in southern CA, Steve has endeavored to
write something vaguely serious: Steve Stetak thinks this cast and
his director are super-great! Also: He prefers pie.

 |
Mark Notarian – Inspector Tom Connolly
Mark has a diverse background. As an actor he has played a wide range
of roles including "Wicked Uncle Ernie" in The Who's
Tommy, Dr. Martin Dysart in Equus (a part that did not
require him to do a nude scene much to the relief of the University
audience), and Sheridan Whiteside in The Man Who Came To Dinner.
He has an extensive background in Improv and is one of the founding
members of the "Improverbs" as well as The L.A. Connection.
He has 30 years in Radio, Advertising and Voice over work and is now
pursuing his Masters in Theater (to finally get him Mom off his back)
He is the producer of "The Neo-Mercury Theater Of The Air"
and will deny to his deaths bed that he is the Father of Anna Nicole's
Baby!
|
 |
Patrick McKim – Bill
Patirick has been involved in theatre for the past 40 years, starting
in high school. At San Dieguito Little Theatre in Del Mar he performed
in numerous productions as well as stage-managed and co-produced a
few others. He trod the boards of Patio Playhouse nearly 30 years
ago, as Prince Dauntless, in Once Upon A Mattress. He has
been back for the past two years, performing in some of our productions.
He was last seen as Beebo in Fruitcakes |
 |
Peggy Schneider – Mother
Peggy has been a very active participant in Patio Playhouse productions,
and in theaters around the county. She currently serves as our Treasurer
and General Manager. She earns her living as an Educator at the
San Diego Zoo’s Wild Animal Park animals are her greatest
passion, but theater has always played a major role in her life
She is also a voice over artist, and hers is the voice of the Balloon
Safari at the Wild Animal Park.
